Who We Are, and Why We Practice Tai Chi With Christ

We are people who believe faith is meant to be lived in the body, not just thought about.

Grace In Motion exists for those who are tired of separating their spiritual life from their physical one, tired of pushing, performing, or pretending their bodies don’t matter. We practice Tai Chi because it teaches us how to move slowly, listen deeply, and stay present, and we do it with Christ at the center.

This is not about adopting another belief system or chasing enlightenment.
It’s about bringing Jesus into the room, into breath, movement, tension, healing, and rest.

Why Tai Chi?

Because life already moves fast enough.

Tai Chi invites us to slow down on purpose. To stop muscling our way through stress, grief, aging, or recovery. To learn steadiness instead of strain, awareness instead of autopilot, grace instead of force.

In Tai Chi, we learn to yield, not as weakness, but as wisdom.

Why With Christ?

Because we don’t leave our faith at the door.

We believe God cares about the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. We practice with Scripture, prayerful awareness, and reverence, not as performance, but as presence. Movement becomes prayer. Breath becomes trust. Stillness becomes listening.

We follow Jesus not just with our words, but with how we stand, how we breathe, and how we move through the world.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Just come as you are, and move with grace.

I love Tai Chi

Grace In Motion is a Christ-centered Tai Chi practice for those who want their faith embodied, not compartmentalized. We start by opening the door, inviting God in this journey with us. We move slowly, pray honestly, and honor the body as a sacred gift — not something to fix, force, or ignore. We finish with a bow in gratitude to the Lord.
